Opening the 13th day of Ligue 1, Monaco was held in check by Evian TG (1-1). The third game without a win for the club in the Principality that has stalled.
Monaco Evian TG 1-1
Monaco: Falcao (27th)
Evian TG: Wass (20th)
The international break is timely for AS Monaco clearly stalled. Beat last week in Reims in the League Cup (2-0) and Lille in the league (2-0), Club Monaco has conceded his third game without victory against Evian TG (1-1). A parity score well paid by the Prince promoted to major difficulties in the game for the first game of the 13th day, Claudio Ranieri played the card of the offensive by Moutinho back a notch, while restoring his chance Fabinho to Ocampos and on the right side. Excellent early season, this duo put into action quickly, within an eleven Monaco dominating territorially. But to want to play too high, Monaco left large gaps in his camp. And ETG lacked enjoy local defensive largesse. A release Hansen deflected by Sougou, Wass froze the hushed atmosphere of Louis II opening the score right (0-1, 20th).
One advantage, however, of short duration. Rarely dangerous, ASM relied on its Colombians to equalize at the end of a rare class quality movements. The fifth Assist by Rodriguez allowed Falcao to equalize a beautiful cross-shot (1-1, 27th). Held in check at the break, Monaco did not shrug his level after recovery. The Monaco held the ball but were too offensive for their drafts in hope of forcing the lock ETG, very solid. The Upper Savoy might even have created a huge sensation if Subasic had not released the big game against Sougou (65) and Nistor (85th). Hitting the bar Ocampos (87th) marked the end of a sad evening spot for ASM, although still third in the standings, could see the PSG and Lille escape on Saturday.
Players Of The Game
Aim of Savoyard author Daniel Wass gave a very big game in the right lane. The Danish international has hurt in his acceleration but has also been invaluable in his defensive withdrawal, preventing combinations of Kurzawa and Ferreira-Carrasco. Note also the large part of Cedric Mongongu. Former resident of the training center of the ASM, the Congolese defender was very attentive and inspired in these interventions.
We Do Not Like
In line with its pale benefit Lille, Joao Moutinho still disappointed. Repositioned in front of the defense alongside Jeremy Toulalan, the former FC Porto metronome has never affected the game around. Eric Abidal is also missed. Embarrassed by the speed of Sougou, Monegasque captain was the author of numerous inaccuracies that could be very expensive. Not really bode well for dams for World Cup 2014.
Result of the 13th day:
Monaco-Evian TG 1-1
Lorient – Reims
